The Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) was founded in 1893, a hundred and fifteen years ago. From the start, its approach emphasized not only the technique but also the culture of hospitality: the mixture of tangible and intangible elements that make up this unique industry.
As the oldest hospitality school in the world, EHL offers undergraduate, Masters and executive education studies to students, aiming for the top careers in the hospitality industry. In Switzerland, EHL is the only institution of hospitality management of HES (Haute Ecole Spécialisée or University of Applied Sciences) level offering advanced programmes which are recognized by the Swiss government. EHL is also accredited as an institution by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), USA.
